Grand Cayman is a very popular Caribbean destination. Grand Cayman is the biggest of the Cayman Islands, with the smaller islands being Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
There is a lot to see and do on (and in the waters around) Grand Cayman. The island is a very popular scuba diving and snorkeling destination and offers opportunities for both from short boat trips and even free from the shore in some spots. One very popular activity is a trip to Stingray City. This is an area of shallow sand bars that is heavily populated with Stingrays that you can swim with, hold, and even kiss (if you choose).
Another popular stop in Grand Cayman is Hell. This is a small area of short, pointed limestone formations that probably received its name because someone thought that's what Hell must look like. It provides some funny photo opportunities and has a post office where you can send cards from Hell.
Grand Cayman is also partly protected by mangrove swamps. These areas make for very interesting kayaking tours where you can kayak through and find various animals, such as fish, jellyfish, and birds.
Many of the main resorts on Grand Cayman are located on Seven Mile Beach. The beach is public property and you can walk the full length. There are a lot of restaurants and several public beach bars. There are also some reefs off Seven Mile Beach with good snorkeling.
