Phoenix is the 5th biggest city in the US, and the Phoenix metro area includes cities such as Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler and Glendale.

The first thing most people think when they hear Phoenix is the heat.  The Phoenix area does get very hot during the summer months, with temperatures often over 100.  The flip side of that, though, is very nice winter months where the temperatures is often in the 70s or 80s, and there is a lot of sunshine all year around.

Because of the great winter weather, the Phoenix area is a very popular golf destination.  The area has over 200 golf courses.  No matter where you are in Phoenix, you're not far from a golf course.

There are also several small mountains within or very close to the Phoenix area.  There are miles and miles of trails at South Mountain and Cabelback Mountain, and the Superstitions is home to the legend of the Lost Dutchman.
